A 30-year-old man was stabbed on the left side of his chest during an altercation at about noon on Jan. 26 in a park behind Meehan Lane.

Police responded to the disturbance after a resident reported at 12:11 p.m. that four men dressed in black were fighting in Morgan Days Park near an apartment housing complex. One had a cane and another had a walker, according to police.

The man who was stabbed was transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a punctured lung. His 26-year-old brother suffered a laceration to the head from a crutch, and a third victim, 22, went to the emergency room claiming he was struck on the elbow by an object.

The incident is currently under investigation, according to village spokeswoman Julie Scully. No arrest had been made as of Tuesday.
