Police searching for men who broke into cars in several Nassau towns

Nassau police are searching for a group of men who broke into more than a dozen cars in East Rockaway and other areas in the county, and stole cash and property from inside them.

According to a release by the police, the robberies took place in the early morning hours between Dec. 19 and 23. The men broke into 13 cars and attempted to enter two others in East Rockaway, Cedarhurst, Hewlett, Island Park, Lawrence and Woodmere.

The items stolen included cash, sunglasses, credit cards, gift cards, clothing, cellphone chargers and dashboard cameras.
