Rockville Centre's John Cameron Jr. named to Long Island Business Hall of Fame

John D. Cameron Jr., founder and managing partner of Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP, has been selected for the Long Island Business Hall of Fame. He lives in Rockville Centre with his wife, Loretta, as do his children and their families.

Named the Top Engineer on Long Island in 2018 by Long Island Business News, Cameron was also included on the Long Island Press’s Power List for the eighth straight year. Cameron’s firm was also selected as Top Engineering Firm on the island last year.

Cameron has been recognized many times throughout his career for his professional, educational, community and church contributions. He is a member of a number of not-for-profit boards, including for the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center, the Hofstra University and Stony Brook University engineering schools, and is a national director of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy’s Alumni Association and Foundation Board.

Cameron Engineering, in its 35th year of business, has recived more than 40 professional awards for its work. Recent projects include the Nassau Coliseum renovation, the Hostra University medical and business schools and Molloy College’s Hagan School of Nursing, among others.
