Seaford Manor Kindergarteners 100 days smarter

Seaford Manor Elementary School Kindergartners are growing up fast, as they have declared themselves 100 days smarter on Feb 9, their 100th day of school.

The kindergartners dressed up as if they were a century old, and danced to “The Charleston,” which was played over the school’s public address system and is close to 100 years old. They also participated in a variety of activities that involved the number 100, such as making paper crowns and having a parade around the school.

“They got to be the stars of the school,” Seaford Manor teacher Dawn Plotnick said, “and they got to count to 100, which is something we love for kindergartners to know how to do.”

The students also made posters with 100 objects, such as cotton balls, at home, brought them into school and watched as they were hung up on the walls of the school’s kindergarten hallway.
