Raynham Hall’s giant ghostly puppets once again led over 300 costumed parade goers and their four- legged friends through town for the house museum’s 3rd Annual Halloween Ghost Walk this past Sunday. The procession had seven 12-foot-tall ghost puppets featuring Townsend ancestors from the Victorian period and two colonial ghost men puppets on horseback. All the puppets were designed and built by Superior Concept Monsters, Inc. exclusively for Raynham Hall. Twenty-four volunteers carried the puppets.

While participating in Raynham Hall’s annual Halloween Ghost Walk children received bells and treats from the Lifetime Enrichment Center along the route. The parade, which kicked off at the Christ Church Rectory, ended at the passageway to Raynham Hall Museum. There was an after party too that included music by volunteer DJ John Hubbard. Ghostly entertainment abounded with three colonial dressed stilt walkers who managed to walk the entire parade route and then lead in the dancing afterwards.
