acquired through the district’s 15-day virtual summer school program in a video, “Make A Big Splash,” published by the district on July 27.

The video was published on YouTube at, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D52i71ylN8&feature=youtu.be

In the video, students displayed their work from slideshow biographies, to game design, band, orchestra, chorus, meditation, dance and a variety of art projects.

The students also put together a “Saturday Night Live” parody sketch after meeting with an SNL writer and other comedy writers during the program.

It was amazing seeing the collaboration between students and teachers putting all this together, said Ruth Breidenbach, the director of arts and community relations for the district. “We’re grateful to the students, parents and administrators who saw value in the arts and helped made the virtual program a success.”
