The village held its annual Menorah lighting ceremony Tuesday evening at Valley Stream Station Plaza. Rabbi Yitzchak Goldshmid from the Chabad Outreach Center joined Mayor Ed Fare in the bucket of a Valley Stream fire truck to light the candle for the first night of the Jewish Festival of Lights, which began that day at sundown.
