Valley Stream South High School Local Teens Pledge to #GetThereSafe

Posted

The Allstate Foundation is reminding teens to get to their destination safely. With an average of nearly seven teens dying each day in car crashes1, local high schools across the country are flagging the issue of teen safe driving this spring.

To spotlight this issue, students at Valley Stream South High School flagged the issue of teen crash fatalities by signing a #GetThereSafe flag as a pledge to be a smart and safe driver on Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11.

The Allstate Foundation #GetThereSafe program is an initiative that raises awareness around the dangers of three risky driving behaviors that primarily cause teen crash fatalities – speeding, not wearing a seatbelt and being distracted by other teen passengers in the car.
