Mandalay Elementary School students in Wantagh and their families had a night filled with science, technology, engineering, arts and math activities as part of the school’s April 24 STEAM night.
Throughout the evening, students from kindergarten through the fifth grade enjoyed 15 interactive and collaborative activities to explore their STEAM skills. Activities included making windmills, coding and making a rocket powered by stomping a bottle filled with air.
“The evening also encouraged students to explore their interests and to try new skills,” said Principal Marie Pisicchio.
