Camp Barrett, the village of Valley Stream's summer camp program, held its annual Carnival Day on Aug. 3. There was a bounce castle, dunk tank, slip and slide, face painting and numerous carnival games. more
Valley Stream's village summer camp program hosted its annual Color Wars competition on July 19 at Barrett Park. Campers divided into the blue and red teams and competed in a variety of field day-like activities including a tug-of-war, obstacle course and a variety of relay races. more
Shootout Cancer, a non-profit organization which raises funds to assist those battling cancer, hosted its fifth annual basketball event on June 16 at Lawrence High School in Cedarhurst to raise money for families afflicted by the disease. Participants donated $10 and enjoyed basketball activities and competitions while spectators donated $5 to the cause. more
