Boy Scouts from Valley Stream Troop 109 have been quite active the last few weeks. On Nov. 20, the troop held its Court of Honor ceremony at Grace United Methodist Church. The boys earned their rank advancements and merit badges. Scouts and their parents also took time to honor retiring Scoutmaster Joe Trimboli.
On Dec. 1, the boys were outside of King Kullen on West Merrick Road collecting food and monetary donations to help local needy families. The donations were then given to the church.
