Eagles earn Conference A3 title

The Central High School varsity girls volleyball team won its second consecutive championship last month, ending a 13-3 season after continuing their two-year home-court undefeated streak.
The Eagles won the Conference A3 title last year for the first time since 1987, ending their season 12-2. Only three players returned this year: co-captains Apolonia Cabrera, Jennifer Dignam and Laura Johansen.
The team’s coach is Mary Parisi, chair of North High School’s social studies department.
