District 13 announces transportation requests deadline for non-public schools

Requests for student transportation to private or parochial schools outside of the district for the 2015-2016 school year must be received by April 1. The application is required to be submitted every year. Families moving into the district after April 1 are given 30 days after their arrival to submit the request.

District 13 does not provide transportation in the following circumstances:

- Children who have completed sixth grade

- Children who will not be five years of age by Dec. 1, 2015

- To schools more than 15 miles from the child’s home

If a child is on a school’s waiting list or if you are uncertain about what school your child will be attending in the upcoming school year, the district asks that a transportation application be submitted for each school to secure transportation for the year.

Parents whose children continue to attend school at Holy Name of Mary and Our Lady of Lourdes also need to submit a new written request every year for transportation.
