Early morning robbery in Valley Stream park

Two men walking through Hendrickson Park in Valley Stream early Saturday morning were robbed, and police are on the hunt for three suspects.

According to police, two men, 20 and 21, were walking through the park at about 1:45 a.m. on June 21 when they were approached from behind by three unknown males, who were wearing dark clothing and masks over their faces. One of the robbers pulled out a gun and demanded the victims’ property. They handed over two iPhones and cash.

The suspects then fled on foot toward Hendrickson Avenue. No further descriptions were available. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.
