Herrmann, who recently retired from his teaching position at Central after 52 years, is in his 39th year at president of the VSTA, but he has never dealt with anything like making up seven school days. “This is a first for everybody,” he said. “This is my 53rd year in Valley Stream … I’ve never seen anything come close to this.”
