Forged prescriptions lead to Valley Stream arrest

Posted

A Manhattan man was arrested at Dale Drugs in Valley Stream after he attempted to fill two forged prescriptions on Sept. 10, according to police.

Michael Haywood, 32, dropped off the prescriptions and returned later to pick them up. When he did, a narcotics detective and officers from the Nassau County Police Department’s Bureau of Special Operations were waiting, and arrested him at 6:20 p.m. He was allegedly in possession of a fraudulent New York identification card.

Haywood was charged with three counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument, a D felony. He was arraigned on Sept. 11 at First District Court in Hempstead.
