Homecoming at Valley Stream Central High School

Posted

The less-than-perfect weather conditions didn’t keep fans from flocking to Firemen’s Field on Saturday to support the Valley Stream Central Eagles during the team’s homecoming game. Despite the cloudy skies, the football team took a 20-18 victory against Westbury’s Green Dragons.

The festivities began the day prior with a pep rally at the high school to get the school ready for the upcoming events. At the game, community members donned their blue to show support for the home team, and also various pink clothing items to raise awareness for breast cancer in observance Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Despite the halftime parade being cancelled due to inclement weather, students Rahman Chambers and Isabella Gandasedui were named homecoming king and queen at halftime.
