Friday flicks

The Henry Waldinger Memorial Library will screen “The Guilt Trip” on Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. The movie stars Barbra Streisand, Seth Rogan and Joleen Renee, and follows an inventor named Andy Brewster as he embarks on a road trip and ends up unexpectedly taking his mother along for the ride.

Comedy night

Sip This will host its first comedy night of 2017 on Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. The night of laughs costs $10. Sip This is located on 64 Rockaway Ave.

Martin Luther King. Jr. documentary

The Elmont Memorial Library will screen “Martin Luther King Jr.: A Historical Perspective” on Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. The film delves into the life of King and the important strides he made for African Americans during the 1950s and 1960s.
