State troopers arrested a Forest Hills man on Aug. 8 after they said he left the scene of a crash with another vehicle on the Meadowbrook State Parkway.

Officers from the Valley Stream barracks responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the northbound lanes of the parkway north of the Ocean Parkway at 7:21 p.m. They arrived to find a Toyota Yaris parked in the shoulder with damage to its rear.

Troopers located the other vehicle, a white Toyota, several miles north of the scene of the collision. The driver of the Toyota, Marcin Grajdek, 25, of Forest Hills, allegedly showed a blood-alcohol level of .15 percent when a breath test was administered.

Grajdek was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated, as he had at least one DWI conviction in the last 10 years, and leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident. He was held for arraignment in Nassau County Court.
