The Elmont Memorial Library will be showing “Love & Friendship” on Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. The film is set in 1970’s London and follows recently widowed Lady Susan Vernon (Kate Beckinsale) as she seeks refuge with her in-laws before deciding to set out to find a new husband. Rated PG.

Marvel trivia

Think you know everything about the Marvel universe? Put your knowledge to the test with trivia based on the superhero movies and some of the comic books at Sip This in Valley Stream on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance. $10 per team up to four people. Prizes will be awarded.
