A Hewlett man was arrested late Tuesday night in connection with three robberies last week in Hewlett and Valley Stream, Nassau County police said.

According to police, Jason Shure, 25, of Hewlett, was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery in the first and second degree after being located on Eagle Avenue near the Southern State Parkway in Lakeview.

The most recent robbery Shure took place on Nov. 6 at 3:57 p.m., when Shure allegedly entered Kidz Stuff Rockaway Avenue in Valley Stream and demanded cash after showing his gun. He fled in a vehicle with an unspecified amount of cash.

Police linked Shure to two other heists on Nov. 2 and Nov. 4, the first of which occurred at The Barn, at 1577 Broadway in Hewlett, at 9:40 p.m.

Police said Shure entered the store wearing a helmet with a mask, sunglasses, and black, white and yellow gloves. With no one else in the store, he lifted his sweatshirt, exposing a handgun tucked in his waistband to the female store clerk and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. He then fled on a black and white motorcycle on Peninsula Boulevard toward Woodmere.

Police said Shure entered the Rockaway Deli Mart on Nov. 4 in Valley Stream with sunglasses on and approached a female employee, lifted his sweatshirt to reveal his gun and fled on foot in an unknown direction with cash.

No injuries were reported in any of the incidents. Shure was set to be arraigned on Nov. 9 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
