Overcast Valley Stream scouts move up at Blue and Gold ceremony

The Order of Arrow ceremonial team departed after conducting the ceremony.
Christian Dyer, 10, treaded over the bridge to advance in rank.
Deputy Mayor Dermond Thomas addressed the crowd, and congratulated the scouts on their accomplishments.
Four local Boy Scouts participated in their troop’s Blue and Gold dinner and ceremony on March 4 at the Holy Name of Mary school.
This year’s participating scouts were Vincent Vacchiano, 11, Christian Dyer, 10, Ethan Yu, 10, and Salvatore Albano, 11.
The ceremony featured new uniforms, accoutrements and Scouts walking over the wooden bridge into their new ranks.
