I’m sure Drs. Einstein and Hawking would agree. If time is going to move faster as we age, we have to mindfully slow down enough to savor the days and hours and minutes. It sounds familiar, but the idea doesn’t lose validity because it has been said before.

Even with the calendar and life’s constraints in play, we can refocus and reframe the days ahead to enjoy more, celebrate more, share more and generally live our days with mind, heart and all our senses fully charged.

As usual, the poets say it best. In the 1600s, Andrew Marvell wrote, “Though we cannot make the sun stand still, yet we can make him run.” Marvell, Einstein, Hawking . . . the resolution is the same: carpe diem.
