Armed robber steals money from Roslyn Savings Bank

An armed robber stole an undisclosed amount of money from Roslyn Savings Bank in Valley Stream on July 14 at 3:31 p.m.

According to Nassau County police, a man entered the bank at 75 North Central Ave. with a handgun and forced an unarmed security guard and two other employees to the floor. He then demanded cash from another employee.

Police said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left on foot in an unknown direction. No customers were present at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.

The suspect was described by police as a black male in his mid-20s, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 and with a thin build.
