Mostly Cloudy Teen arrested for TD Bank robbery in Valley Stream

Police said a North Valley Stream teen was arrested on Nov. 2 after allegedly robbing a TD Bank on West Merrick Road.
According to Nassau County police, Jon Candelaria, 17, of North Valley Stream, walked into the bank, at 275 W. Merrick Road, and gave the teller a demand note. The victim complied and gave Candelaria an undisclosed amount of money.
Candelaria then fled the scene on foot, police said, but was located a short time later and was arrested without incident.
Candelaria, of Arkansas Drive, was charged with third-degree robbery. He is due to be arraigned on Nov. 3 in First District Court.
