Lecture: “Inside Emily Dickinson”

The Elmont Memorial Library will be hosting Ginger Grace, an actress known for her role as Candace O’Leary in the short “It’s All Relative,” on March 17 at 12:30 p.m. She will be performing a “biographical portrait” based on the letters, life stories and poems of Emily Dickinson. It will combine her performance with interactive workshop activities.

3D printing workshop

On March 18 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library will be hosting an introduction to 3D printing, Thingiverse and Tinkercad to create your own 3D creations. There will be a demonstration of the library’s 3D printer, which patrons will be able to register to use for a small materials fee. Registration is preferred. Help treating arthritis

On March 22 at 1 p.m. the Elmont Memorial Library will be hosting Christine Stamatos, the director of the Fibromyalgia Wellness Center at Northwell Health. This session will review some basic principles of treatment of arthritis, and answer questions such as when to use Tylenol or Advil and when to us ice or heat.

Bringing it on “Home”

Kindie musician Tim Kubart, a 2016 Grammy winner for his family album “Home,” visits the Long Island Children’s Museum stage, with his band, the Space Cadets, on Saturday, March 18. Kubart and fellow songwriter Matt Puckett weave their own childhood memories into lively pop tunes that they share with families during the entertaining interactive show. The Fast Lane appears at The Space at Westbury on Friday, March 17, with their popular tribute to the Eagles.
