A man was struck by a car on Hendrickson Avenue near North Corona Avenue on Saturday at around 9:30 p.m., police and fire officials said.

According to Public Information Officer William Allen, the victim was conscious after the automobile struck him. No injuries were reported, but the victim was taken to Long Island Jewish at Valley Stream. Allen said that the Public Information Office did not have much information about the incident, which suggested to him that “it was not serious.”

Valley Stream firefighters also arrived on the scene, according to Chief James Ervolino, but he said, “it was more a police matter than anything else.”
