A man entered the People’s United Bank in Stop & Shop in East Meadow on March 21 at 4.22 p.m. and approached the teller with a note demanding money. The teller complied and the subject left the scene, heading south, with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
Police describe the suspect as a white male, in his 40’s, who is roughly five foot and six or seven inches tall and 190 pounds. He has black hair, a black and white full beard and a medium complexion.
He was wearing a light blue knit cap with the white “National Grid” logo, a navy blue ski jacket, a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
There were two employees inside the bank and no customers at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.
