Police report robbery on Central Avenue

Nassau County police reported a robbery that took place at the Chase Bank on Monday at 6 p.m., and are seeking the suspect's identity.

According to detectives,  an unknown man, who police described as black, roughly 30 years old, of a thin build and standing at six feet tall, entered the Chase Bank on North Central avenue and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller reportedly handed over an undisclosed amount of money. 

The suspect was reportedly seen wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and purple gloves.  Police ask that anyone with knowledge of the incident contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 244-8477
