Bands are booked by the Recreation Department, and the series is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the Valley Stream Soccer Club and Advantage Toyota of Valley Stream.

This year’s summer concert series is halfway over, but that didn’t stop crowds from coming out to see Marc Berger’s “Ride” show on July 26 — a country, bluegrass group.
The group played to nearly 100 people under the stars. The final concert in the series, featuring the group Easy Riders, will be on Aug. 30 at the Village Green band shell. Concerts are free and open to the public, and start at 8 p.m. For more information, call (516) 872-6003.
