Homecoming 2015

A day of spirit at MacArthur

Posted

A beautiful fall day was the perfect backdrop for MacArthur High School’s annual Homecoming parade and game on Sept. 26.

A Friday afternoon pep rally kicked off the celebration as students and staff demonstrated their spirit during the introduction of sports teams. Prior to MacArthur High School’s game against Mepham on Saturday, students paraded to the school with homemade banners, joined by the band, cheerleaders, clubs and Homecoming court, as families and friends gathered on local streets to show support.

As an annual tradition, senior football players, band members, cheerleaders and dancers were escorted to the field by a significant other to be honored for their service to the community. The halftime show was packed with performances from the cheerleaders and Macettes, and the high school band. During a special presentation, the Homecoming court was announced, and James Wolfe and Jasmine Chevez from MacArthur High School were crowned king and queen.

The Generals flexed their muscles in their 42-13 win over Mepham in the Homecoming football game.
