A Seaford man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly fired guns at a target on his property that borders Seaford Harbor Elementary School.

According to police, Seventh Precinct officers responded at 9:30 a.m. to the Island Channel Road home of Michael Marron, 55, for the report of BB gun shots fired. His property borders the grounds of Seaford Harbor Elementary School, as his fence line divides the two properties.

Cops said that Marron used a metal suit of armor against a chain-linked fence as a target. Aside from shooting BB guns, police said he shot .22 caliber bullets from a rifle at the armor, which was riddled with numerous bullet holes.

Marron was placed under arrest and was allegedly in possession of cocaine and 19 hydromorphone hydrichloride pills, a derivative of morphine, as well. He was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of prohibitions on the use and possession of firearms. He was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on June 8.
