Posted

The Seaford Chamber of Commerce held its annual installation dinner on Jan. 17 at Il Felice restaurant, which featured the swearing in of officers and board members for 2017.

Karen Cass, of Exit Realty Premier, was installed as president. Hempstead Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad led the oath of office.

Cass presented the outgoing president — Mary Lucere, a local attorney — with a plaque in order to express the group’s appreciation for her service. Lucere will be the chamber’s secretary in 2017.

Ahmad installed all of the 2017 officers. Kenneth Jacobsen, of LPL Financial, will serve as first vice president; Curtis Schmitt, of the Charles Schmitt Funeral Home, is the second vice president. Sergio DeCiantis, of Cara Mia Due, was named treasurer.

Joe Calise (Sights and Sounds), Nick Bilotta (Final Touch Collision), Juanita Duran (Majestic Salon and Spa), Barbara Shane (Shane’s Anchor Realty) and Seth Sultan (The Sultan Agency) were all confirmed to the Board of Directors. Christine Cillis, Brigette DaSilva and Jennie Georgelis also joined the board.
