The holidays arrived early to Seaford this year! The Seaford Fire Department held its 44th annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Dec. 2 outside of the department on Southard Avenue.
The Seaford High School Band and Chorus performed various traditional holiday songs before the lighting and members of the Marianne Anderson School of Dance put on a festive show for all attendees.
Santa arrived to the holiday affair with the fanfare that only fire engines can create with red lights and sirens. Hot chocolate and cookies — which have become a tradition with each year’s event — were served by the Ladies Auxiliary.
