Fair Levittown Library celebrates Chinese New Year

One part of Li Liu’s performance was spinning and balancing large plates on her hands and feet. Besides performing balancing acts, Liu also spoke about Chinese culture.

The Levittown Public Library rang in the Year of the Dog with a performance by acrobat Li Liu on Feb. 25.
The sold out event saw Li Liu speak about Chinese culture, as well as perform a variety of balancing acts and acrobatics, such as plate spinning and dancing with scarves.
Liu also invited several local children up to learn a few acrobatic tricks on stage, and they threw scarves and balanced plates alongside the experienced acrobat.
In between acts, Liu taught the audience a few Chinese phrases to say, as well as about the different acts she does as an acrobat.
