2 male teens robbed in Lakeview

Nassau County Police are investigating a robbery that took place in Lakeview on Oct. 3, in which two young men responded to an online scam offering a cell phone.

According to police, two male victims, ages 16 and 18, showed up on Jefferson Avenue to answer a Facebook advertisement that promised the sale of an iPhone 5, but were soon approached by six black male suspects.

The 18-year-old victim was struck in the face before the suspects stole a cell phone, wallet, cash, headphones, and a pair of sneakers before fleeing the scene.

According to reports, the suspects were described as being around 20 to 25 years old. One of the suspects wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and another wore black sneakers, a white tee shirt and blue jeans with a black skullcap. The third suspect wore a black sweatshirt and blue jeans while the fourth wore an orange sweatshirt and black shorts, both with bandanas over their faces. The other two suspects could not be described, reports said.
