To the Editor:
The Valley Stream Civilian Patrol held its general meeting on Sept. 26 at Village Hall. Vice President Christine Kelly read the Herald’s entire editorial regarding the sex crimes that took place in August and September and the lack of communication on the part of law enforcement (“Public deserves answers from police,” Sept. 26-Oct. 2).
The officers and audience gave a round of applause for your wonderful editorial, which stated the feelings and thoughts of the residents of Valley Stream. I’d like to assure you that as members of the Valley Stream Civilian Patrol, we will always try to deter crime by our vigilance.
