Legislator Troiano resigns, moves to N. Hempstead

Nassau County Legislator Robert Triano, who has represented the 2nd District since 2010, will leave his seat on Jan. 2 to become director of operations for North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth.

Nassau County Lesig. Robert Troiano will resign from his seat to work as the director of operations for North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth.

Troiano, a Democrat who was re-elected to represent the 2nd District in November, will step down from his seat in the legislature on Jan. 2 to assume his new role.

A special election must be held 30 to 60 days after Troiano’s departure to install his successor for the 2nd district.
