Nassau Community College, Adelphi, Molloy, Hofstra cancel classes

Nassau Community College:
All day and evening classes, activities and campus services other than Public Safety and Physical Plant at Nassau Community College will be cancelled for Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30.
For students attending online, hybrid, web-enhanced courses or telecourses, there will be no access to Blackboard CE8 after October 28th at 3:30 p.m.

A decision as to the status of classes, activities and campus services at Nassau Community College for Wednesday, October 31 will be made known in the afternoon of Tuesday, October 30.

Hofstra University:

Due to weather and transportation closures, Hofstra University will be closed on Monday, October 29. All classes are cancelled, and offices for non-essential administrative services will be closed. The Child Care Institute and the Axinn Library will be closed. Only essential services (Public Safety and the Student Center Cafeteria) will remain open.

In case of an emergency on campus, please call Public Safety at (516) 463-6789.

Molloy College:
The Molloy College campus, the Suffolk Center and 30 Hempstead Avenue will be closed from Sunday, October 28 at 3 p.m. until Tuesday night. Please recheck this website on Tuesday to see when the campus will reopen. The Monday, October 29 registration is postponed until Monday, November 5. All other registration dates will be moved forward a week as well.:

Adelphi University:
Campus Closures Announced Due to Severe Weather
The Adelphi University Garden City Campus, Hauppauge, Manhattan and Hudson Valley Centers will be closed on Monday, October 29 and Tuesday October 30 due to severe weather conditions related to Hurricane Sandy.

The Sunday, October 28 Open House will still take place as planned.

Adelphi's Department of Public Safety is currently working with the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management and Garden City Police and Fire personnel to ensure coordinated planning. The Department is also taking the necessary precautions at the campus level for the protection of lives and property.

In the event that weather conditions require additional school delays or closings, you will be notified through the Adelphi University Emergency Notifications System (RAVE) accessible through eCampus.
