W.H. prepares to ‘Paint the Town Purple’

Posted

On Friday, May 9, the West Hempstead community will gather to raise awareness about cancer research in a big way with its “Paint the Town Purple” event, in which neighbors will dress up every bare street corner in purple.

In conjunction with this year’s Relay for Life, which will take place at West Hempstead High School on June 7, residents will get together to cover storefronts, lampposts, street signs and any other public place in town with purple ribbons and signs.
