Overcast Woman sexually assaulted in West Hempstead

A 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on Dec. 27 in West Hempstead after a man with a handgun approached her on Terminal Rd. at about 4 a.m.
Nassau Police reported that the woman was walking on the industrial, dead-end street, located west of Cherry Valley Avenue, when the man drove her to an unknown location and sexually assaulted her.
The man then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, and the woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
