Building opportunities at Davison Avenue Intermediate School

For the third year in a row, Davison Avenue Intermediate School has been identified as meeting the criteria of the Beating the Odds: Building Opportunities study by Better Outcomes. Based on demographic data and the state’s ELA assessment results from spring 2018, the school is in the top 19 percent of those eligible for beating the odds and building opportunities for all of its students.

As a result of this distinction, Davison Avenue will be further interviewed in order to identify strategies and mindsets that have contributed to their success. The reports will be shared with New York state BOCES for distribution to member districts, as well as at an upcoming conference.

This year, they are one of only 197 schools in the state to be recognized for its accomplishments and will formally be honored on Nov. 6 at SUNY New Paltz.
