Firefighters were informed that the vehicle likely flipped about five times before landing on its side.

The Lakeview Fire Department responded to an overturned vehicle on the Southern State Parkway east of Exit 17 on July 3. The SUV landed in a grassy area off the highway. The driver was able to crawl out of his vehicle and was not injured. He was checked out by a passing North Shore University Hospital ambulance truck.
Lakeview firefighters were informed that the vehicle likely flipped about five times before landing on its side. Traffic was not disrupted, and no other vehicles were involved.
