Careers begin for West Hempstead School District’s newest teachers

The West Hempstead School District warmly welcomed newly hired staff members during a two-day orientation program held on Aug. 29-30 at the district office on Chestnut Street.

On the first day, Superintendent Daniel Rehman, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Dina Reilly and Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations Joel Press addressed attendees with introductory remarks. The staff members were then educated on district procedures, programs and resources, and took part in round table discussions and informative sessions.

Day two opened with mentor meetings and a bus tour of the district. The new teachers were also brought in for West Hempstead Education Association orientation before meeting with respective principals and directors to culminate the program.

The district wished all of the new staff members the best of luck as they start their journeys in West Hempstead.
