Knowing no one goes through life untouched by personal suffering, West Hempstead resident Harriet Cabelly was inspired to write her first book, Living Well Despite Adversity: Inspiration for Finding Renewed Meaning and Joy In Your Life. The book was self-published and is available on Amazon.com.
Cabelly’s book is a compilation of interviews with people whose stories document some of their biggest challenges and losses, and what each individual learned as a result. Her book highlights such themes as purpose, resilience and gratitude that any reader can incorporate into their own life.
“The people highlighted don’t flinch from telling how it really is,” said Cabelly. “Their stories strengthen and inspire, and will show that you, too, can come out the other end of heartbreak intact and go on to rebuild a flourishing life.”
Cabelly is a social worker, speaker and workshop facilitator and has appeared on ABC news as a parenting coach. She is also a guest coaching expert on WOR radio’s, Change Your Attitude, Change Your Life program.
