Public meeting on JFK runway rehab project set for Oct. 17

The Port Authority of New York-New Jersey will hold a public meeting in regards to the John F. Kennedy Runway 13L-31R rehabilitation project on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Cradle of Aviation Museum on Charles Lindbergh Blvd. in Garden City, at 6 p.m.

The public information session will provide details that will cover the scope of work, anticipated timeline for completion and other critical details of the runway project. Due to the project, other runways may see an increase in arrivals and departures of 35-70 percent, according to the Port Authority.
