Rhythmic music at Hall’s Pond Park in West Hempstead

Residents enjoyed a cool summer evening at Hall’s Pond Park as The House Band performed at the gazebo on Aug. 26. As part of the West Hempstead Community Support Association’s Music in the Park series, The House Band played a diverse selection of musical genres that included fusion, rhythm and blues, jazz and reggae.
The group, which formed in April, is a five-piece band that consists of musicians who play a variety of instruments such as keyboards, saxophone, trumpet and guitar. With a wide range of influences that include Bob Marley, The Beatles, Kirk Franklin, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Benny Goodman, The House Band showcased their diverse taste in music at the park.
