Sign up for Malverne’s Pre-K program

The Malverne Union Free School District announced its Saturday morning program for preschool children with a focus on language improvement, cognitive growth and social development. Instructed by certified elementary teachers, children who turned 3 or 4 years of age by Sept. 1, 2018 and are toilet trained are eligible to take part in the program. The program is free for interested Malverne School District residents and will be held at Maurice W. Downing Primary School, at 55 Lindner Place, Malverne, from 9 to 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays: Feb. 9; March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; and April 6.
Registration for the program will take place in the main lobby of MWD on Saturday, Jan. 26, and Saturday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and on Monday, Feb. 4, and Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. To register, you must bring the following documents: driver’s license, mortgage papers/deed (lease agreement with notarized affidavit, if you rent), current utility bill, school tax receipt, updated immunization papers and the child’s original birth certificate.
