Third graders at Lakeside Levy School in Merrick Union Free School District imagined what it would be like to be trapped inside a snow globe.
Students read the story, “Snow Globe Family” by Jane O’Connor, which tells the tale of a family living inside a snow globe.
“They used this story to inspire their own snow globe creation and completed a creative writing activity where they wrote about what they would do if they were inside a snow globe for a day,” explained teacher Dara Kaplan.
