A Dix Hills man was arrested for exposing himself in Uniondale on the afternoon of Jan. 17, Nassau police said.
According to detectives, Willian Portillo Melara, 29, was allegedly sitting in his car, a white Honda Pilot, on Dale Place near Smith Street School. Police said he was allegedly observed exposing and touching himself by a 22-year-old woman.
The woman allegedly went across the street to alert school security, according to police. The security guard reportedly approached Melara’s car, which police said led to him driving away.
After an investigation, Melara was arrested on Jan. 18. He is charged with public lewdness and was released on an Appearance Ticket, meaning he is due to appear at the First District Court in Hempstead on Feb. 4.
